Tehuia Twin Peaks
We design
and manufacture building frames with logs from sustainable New Zealand
forests. This enables us to keep production
waste minimal, achieving a very low carbon footprint. The log frame is on show
inside the building so you see and feel its structural integrity.
Big timber glows with natural warmth, softly reflecting light and sound. Whole
logs store and hold Carbon. They absorb and store energy, releasing warmth slowly in winter, absorbing heat
in summer, keeping our buildings at a comfortable moderate temperature in all seasons.
We use 300mm diameter round logs and by intelligent design and engineering, our
buildings can be trusted for the times when extreme weather and powerful earth
movement occur. A not uncommon event here in New Zealand.
